While we have our central aid station at Cove Wash, it is STRONGLY encouraged you to bring your own hydration pack and nutrition for the race. A clothing/gear drop will be provided at the start line for all distances. Bring your own bag that is properly labeled with your name and bib number. You will be assigned your bib number when you receive your bib at packet pick-up.
There will be two (2) drop zones at the starting line.
1) 55k PERSONAL SUPPLIES DROP ZONE TENT: Only for those racing the 50k or 30k. Your Bag will be taken to the main aid station at Cove Wash Trailhead where they will be available for you to retrieve during the race. Bring any additional nutrition, clothing, etc., that you like to use during the race.
2) FINISH LINE DROP ZONE TENT: For ALL distances.
This drop zone is for any gear you would like taken to the finish-line. Once the race begins, our team will take bag to the finish-line for you. 55k runners may choose to have a bag taken to the finish & another to the Cove Wash aid station.
Please note we are not liable for any lost or stolen items, but will secure your bags at the finish-line. Please help us by ensuring ALL of your gear is securely placed INSIDE a bag of your choosing, with your name and bib number.
Please refer to our waviers/transfers page for details as they have changed for 2024. Keep in mind there are no transfers or deferrals after 14 days prior to the event.

There are a variety of options for accommodations near Ivins and Santa Clara! Check it out:
With the new residential homes being built at the shuttle drop off area and near the starting line, we ask that all participants take the shuttle to the starting area.
Please be aware the course is closed to vehicles during the race, with the exception of Cove Wash Trailhead. Spectators are welcome to drive and park to the Cove Wash Trailhead to watch and support runners at the aid station. We simply ask you stay clear of the course and aid station as to not interfere with runners on the course. The aid station can get congested and is for athletes only.
Restrooms and Porta-toilets will be available at the start, finish, and at the Cove Wash Trail head aid station, which is your primary aid station for the race. Cove Wash aid station will also have sports drink, water, Vaseline, Bread, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Gels, Coke, Oranges, Bananas, Pretzels, Pickles, Potato Chips, M&M’s, Hard Candy, Salt Tabs, etc.
There is an additional self-serve, unmanned aid station midway through the orange route.
Cove Wash is also the location of the timers check-in station. Athletes competing for awards must pass-through the timing station at the beginning and end of each respective loop.
50k, 30k, Dirty Hurty Half Marathon trail runners receive a short sleeve shirt, and souvenir gift, very nice finishers medal, post race food, and tired legs.
Results will be calculated by starting-mat time and you will be given your results shortly after you finish. Your results will be updated on our website within 24 hours post-race. There will also be a timing mat at the aid-station to record your split times from each leg.
